Anubias Congensis – Live Freshwater Aquarium Plant

Price
$10.40

Anubias Congensis is a hardy and elegant freshwater aquarium plant recognized for its long, narrow, pointed dark green leaves and slow, steady growth. Compared to more common Anubias varieties like Anubias nana or Anubias barteri, this species offers a taller, more refined appearance that adds vertical texture and contrast to planted aquariums.

Its durability and low maintenance requirements make it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

Overview

Anubias Congensis is a rhizome-based freshwater plant commonly used in aquariums for its elongated leaf shape and strong structural presence. It grows slowly and does not spread aggressively, making it ideal for stable, long-term aquascaping layouts. This plant can be grown fully submerged or emersed and is also suitable for paludariums and terrariums.

Key Features

• Long, pointed dark green leaves
• Distinct narrow-leaf Anubias variety
• Slow and controlled growth
• Very hardy and adaptable
• Suitable for low-light setups

Benefits

Anubias Congensis enhances aquariums by adding height and leaf contrast without overwhelming other plants. Its tough leaves resist damage in community tanks, while its structure provides resting and hiding areas for fish and invertebrates. Once established, it requires minimal care and remains stable for years.
