With its fine, needle-like leaves and rapid growth, Limnophila Hippuridoides helps establish a healthy ecosystem by improving water quality and providing shelter for fish and invertebrates. It adapts well to both low-tech and high-tech setups, though it shows its best coloration and density under strong lighting and CO₂.
