Micro Sword NarrowLeaf (Lilaeopsis Zelandiae) LIVE AQUARIUM PLANT
Micro Sword (Lilaeopsis Novae Zelandiae) is known by many names, including Micro Sword Grass, Copragrass, and Carpet Grass. It is a very interesting looking aquatic carpeting plant that always looks excellent in the foreground of aquariums. Narrowleaf Micro Sword leaves are slightly thicker and much shinier in appearance than hairgrass, but this plant grows just as quickly and can give the aquarium a similar serene, prairie-like look.
Narrowleaf Micro Sword is known to grow extremely fast under the right water conditions and is capable of quickly carpeting the floor of the aquarium. It grows taller than many other carpeting plants, making it excellent for providing cover for fish and invertebrates. It may require trimming back due to its speed of growth, especially in set-ups with high-intensity lighting. Interestingly, Narrowleaf Micro Sword can thrive whether it is partially or fully submersed in water. It requires nutrient rich water & substrate for optimal growth. In lower light setups, it will grow taller. It will stay shorter and spread horizontally more quickly in higher light setups.
This plant is very low maintenance, making it great for both beginners & experienced aquarium hobbyists! It does not need any special or high-intensity lighting, and it is perfectly safe to keep with all aquatic animals. The tall grass provides great cover and, like all live plants, helps keep water clean and high quality. As with all our plants, our Micro Swords are kept in water in a plant-dedicated tank rather than plastic packaging, which means your plant will arrive bright and healthy.
